Terrace Bowling Club!
Raymond Terrace Bowling Club is located in the Port Stephens area, just 20 minutes north of Newcastle, just off the Pacific Highway. If you are travelling we are 2 hours north of Sydney, 2.5 hours south of Port Macquarie and 40 minutes from the Hunter Valley wineries making us a great place to stop, take a break and stay.
At Your Club we offer a diverse range of services:
– great place to watch high competition bowls
– relax and enjoy a hot or cold drink
– grab a meal or a quick bite to eat
– rest in our Bed and Breakfast

Your Club’s
beginning
Our Story
15th March 1932
- Meeting held to form a Bowling Club to be known as the Raymond Terrace Bowling Club. The Maitland Daily Mercury, Thursday 17 March 1932
- The first green was laid down by Mr. Henry Richard Sutton in Glenelg Street
- After just 4 weeks of existence, club membership had reached 27.
9th April 1932
- Meeting held to admit lady members
27th May 1932
- Sydney Morning Herald reported expansion of Your Club as we “had laid down a six rink green”
26th November 1932
- Sydney Morning Herald reported Your Club had joined the Newcastle District Bowling Association

Your Club through the years
1940’s – 1950’s
- Jacaranda Avenue (formerly Stockton Street) became the new home for bowls, previously a football and cricket field.
- The Raymond Terrace Golf Clubhouse at Boomerang Park was moved onto this site to be Bowls clubhouse. The clubhouse was later moved to the Hunter River Park to serve as the Raymond Terrace Aquatic Club.
- Present clubhouse was commenced with extensions being added on
28th June 1964
- Renovations to the present Clubhouse were opened by FR Brent
1974
- The club won its first pennant – the NDBA No. 6 Grade Flag
27th April 1975
- Further extensions were opened by R Garside, President NDBA
16th December 1996
- Opening of Jacaranda Family Restaurant (now Creation2).
21st June 1997
- New Clubhouse opened by WA Trethowan OAM, President RNSWBA
