ClubGRANTS is designed to ensure that larger registered clubs in NSW contribute to the provision of front-line services to their local communities; and to ensure that the disadvantaged in the community are better positioned to benefit from teh substantial contributions made by those clubs. Club GRANTS also facilitates contributions by larger clubs towards infrastructure to support sporting, health and community activities.
ClubGRANTS has two main categories
Category 1 - supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.
Category 2 - provides funding for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport.
As part of the Port Stephens area Raymond Terrace Bowling Club contributes to donations provided by the Port Stephens Local Club Grants Committee. Each year the Committee accepts applications for Category 1 donations and assesses them for their ability to meet the current funding priorities.
During the 2013/2014 ClubGRANTS year Raymond Terrace Bowling Club has distributed over $57000 in donations, sponsorships and support to charities and local community and sporting groups.
